Regal Park Place Stadium 16 Event
Top Dog Pet Photography was thrilled to be asked to participate in an event at Regal Cinema’s park Place Stadium 16 theater in Pinellas Park, Fla. On 3 consecutive weekends in January 2009 promoting the movie “HOTEL For DOGS”.
The event was to benefit Spca-Tampa Bay and Friends of Strays animal rescue.
We helped raise hundred’s of dollars for these very worthwhile non-profit charities by having a display booth set up and we sold raffle tickets for a pet basket, a flat screen aquarium and a gift certificate for a photo shoot with a combined value of over $700.00.
The event was a lot of fun and Regal Cinemas went above and beyond to help make sure the event was a huge success.
Rock On!
Aside from the animal rescue organizations, Regal was also helping to raise money that day for The Lymphoma-Cancer society ( a cause very dear to my heart after losing my dad and several friends and family members to this horrible disease).
The management and staff of Regal even staged a Rock-a-Thon where they set up several large rocking chairs and the chairs had to remain occupied at all times and kept rocking and patrons of the theater would donate money as they passed by.
It was great to see the management partake in this event as well as ushers and other Regal employee’s-they all seemed to be having a great time, all while raising money for some very worthwhile causes.
Several other area businesses were involved and Regal let several of us set up booths in their very large lobby!
They even had a clown walking around on large stilts to the delight of the kids and adults at the theater-the whole feel of those weekends was almost like a carnival or fair, to the delight of all the patrons attending movies.
All in all the event was a great success and Tampa Bay needs more businesses like Regal Park Place Stadium 16 who, again went above and beyond for some great charity causes. I hope they continue these type of events in the future as these charities need all the help they can get in these hard economic times.
